When I moved to the Clarence Valley I felt embraced by the community immediately. A wonderful group of women took me under their wing and gave me the opportunity to join their prominent fundraising group.
Today I volunteer my time for the following community groups and hope that the skills I bring contribute to the success of these groups. And really, I just love being involved and working collaboratively.
GRAFTON REGIONAL GALLERY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
2013-Current | Chairperson
The Grafton Regional Gallery Advisory Committee is a group of community members appointed by the Clarence Valley Council. They are responsible for providing advice and recommendations to Council and act as an advocate for the Gallery within the wider community.
GRAFTON DISTRICT GARDEN CLUB
2018-Current | Public Relations & Media Officer
The Grafton District Garden Club has a rich history and shares the joys of gardening with everyone in the local community. When I decided to take my love of flowers more seriously this was naturally the community group I sought out. The wealth of knowledge in the club and generosity of the members represent the true essence of a country town.
With an ageing population in the club, I volunteered to assist with marketing to ensure their legacy continues by attracting new members and finding engaging ways of communicating their story.
We are currently working on new branding for the club and have also begun to build a campaign to give them a presence on social media.
CLARENCE RIVER HIGH TEA FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
2018-Current | Public Relations & Marketing Officer
This event is about the good people of the Clarence River coming together to share an afternoon of high tea, live music and great company, and raise money for important causes while doing so.
